SUMMARY:Hesperos Chief Scientist Presenting at Quantitative Systems Pharmacology Conference 2026
DESCRIPTION:Details:\nDate: 08 April 2026\nTime:  16:10 (UTC+2)\nSession 4: Integrating Micro-Physiological and Organ-on-Chip Systems with QSP \nHesperos\, Inc. is proud to announce that our Chief Scientist\, Dr. James J. Hickman\, will be a featured speaker at the upcoming Quantitative Systems Pharmacology Conference (QSPC) 2026 in Leiden\, Netherlands. This event brings together global leaders from academia\, industry\, and regulatory agencies to explore advances in quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) and mechanism-based pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics (PK/PD).  \nPresentation:\n“Regulatory Acceptance of Microphysiological and Organ-on-Chip Systems”\nAs the drug discovery landscape shifts toward more human-relevant models\, the integration of microphysiological systems (such as our Human-on-a-Chip® single- and multi-organ system models) with QSP is becoming a critical bridge for translational success. In this talk\, Dr. Hickman will discuss the path toward regulatory acceptance for these platforms. \nSession 4 explores the synergy between organ-on-a-chip platforms and the mathematical frameworks of QSP including PK/PD. Among other topics\, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of: \n\nThe current status of MPS validation for regulatory use.\nHow Hesperos’ serum-free\, single and multi-organ platforms can be combined with QSP models.\nStrategies for utilizing human-relevant data to better inform and accelerate clinical development timelines.\n\nAbout the Speaker\nJames J. Hickman\, Ph.D.\, is the Chief Scientist and Co-Founder of Hesperos\, Inc. He is also the Founding Director of the NanoScience Technology Center at the University of Central Florida. A pioneer in the field\, Dr. Hickman has spent over 30 years developing functional in vitro systems. He is a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE)\, the National Academy of Inventors\, and is the President of the International Microphysiological Systems Society (IMPSS). \n\nPlanning to attend QSPC 2026? We invite you to connect with Dr. Hickman to discuss how our Human-on-a-Chip® technology can support your drug development programs. \nLink to Registration and Full Program
